Singer and guitarist David William Hughes presents a unique, retro-tinged mix of jazz, country and Renaissance music. With a combination of his own songs as well as creative arrangements and new compositions, David’s music searches for nostalgia and authenticity – in the sounds of the past as well as the present.
David made his international debut in 2007 at the renowned Montreux Jazz Festival before studying music at the University of Oxford. Since then, he has performed solo and ensemble projects with great success in the UK, the USA, Germany, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Israel and Australia. Since 2023, David has also been making music in a duo with Freiburg guitarist Jan Klementz.
