Relaqua is a relaxation concept originating in freediving. Freediving relies on the diver being able to relax for long enough to hold his or her breath until resurfacing.

Yoga and Freediving

In this workshop, you will learn the secrets of diving down 130 meters underwater with a single breath, swimming 315 meters and holding your breath for over 11 minutes and 30 seconds.

The Keidel Thermal Baths

Thermal Baths Sauna Fitness Health & Wellness

Sink in and relax. The Keidel thermal baths have been filled with water from their own thermal springs for over 40 years. Marvel at the healing effects of mineral-rich thermal water in our 34°C (93°F) heated adventure pool with massage jets, in our outdoor area, in the swimming pool or in the 38°C (100°F) hot spring.

Our eight pools filled with mineral-rich thermal water offer therapeutic, healing effects for the entire body. The water invigorates the body and strengthens the immune system.

Thermal Baths Sauna Fitness Health & Wellness

The entire sauna stretches over about 3000 sqm. Enter the comforting warmth of one of our nine different saunas. Three indoor and six outdoor saunas set at different temperatures as well as a Turkish steam bath are at your disposal. To round everything off, the expansive outdoor area is the only space of its kind in the southern Baden region, featuring a thermal pool, a large lawn for lounging and a natural lake for swimming. The stove in our sauna’s relaxation room overlooking the lake creates a dreamy, calming atmosphere. In both summer and winter, our spacious garden invites visitors to take a leisurely stroll after the sauna.

We offer a wide range of fitness courses, so you can choose to take part in Aqua Fit, Aqua Move or any of the power and endurance training sessions held in our newly renovated fitness room. With a wide range of different water therapy treatments, Keidel has already made a name for itself in Freiburg and beyond. Aqua Relax is an exclusive and unique buoyancy therapy which follows the Halliwick method. It is the ideal treatment approach for issues originating in the intervertebral discs, back pain and neurological diseases.

Conventional massages, physiotherapy and mud treatments with Freiburg’s own Vulkanit-Fango – a type of volcanic mud – round out our treatment selection in a sensible way and can be enhanced by taking a dip in our thermal water, offering the best treatment for rheumatic ailments of the musculoskeletal system, sports injuries and postoperative conditions.
